Interval Execution: USA Cycling Course

Cycling Interval Execution USA Cycling Course from Fast Talk Laboratories

See how elite coaches turn intervals into performance breakthroughs.

Our online course, “Interval Execution,” reveals the strategies top coaches use to write smarter, more effective interval sessions, without burning athletes out or wasting training time. With expert insight from Dr. Sebastian Weber (INSCYD) and Jared Berg, MS, you’ll learn how to align intensity, duration, and rest with the exact adaptations you’re targeting.

You’ll master how to:

  • Build workouts that manipulate time at VO₂max, target threshold load, or stress anaerobic capacity, using principles grounded in performance science.
  • Structure rest periods based on phosphocreatine recovery, lactate clearance rates, and fatigue resistance, not based on outdated rules of thumb.
  • Use metabolic modeling language like glycolytic vs. aerobic power contribution, accumulated lactate, and work-to-rest ratios to fine-tune training effects.
  • Spot when interval quality is declining due to improper recovery or energy system fatigue and adjust your workouts in real time to stay on target.

This course gives you a clear, repeatable system to coach intervals with precision. You’ll learn to read between the numbers, write workouts that deliver, and guide your athletes toward smarter, more intentional interval training.
